This is the door of the Comstock Cemetery Visitors Center. The transom depicts an intersection of Victorian and industrial style. It contains the address of the building, 1 Cemetery Road. An image that invoked the Victorian style and Industrial of the Comstock of the time.
The original door's glass panels were cracked and as was common, I replace them with stained glass in the same color tone of the transom to produce a cohesive scheme. The glass used in both the transom and the door was traditionally hand blown glass from Germany and Belgium to preserve the historic flavor of this project. Comments are closed.
