What was once a Miner's cabin located on B Street in Virginia City is now becoming the visitor center for the Comstock Cemetery. The Comstock Cemetery Foundation is working hard at restoring not just the building but the Lush Garden that is the Comstock Cemetery grounds. If you wish to support this effort, please consider volunteering time or donating money to a worthy historic restoration effort.

This is the door of the Comstock Cemetery Visitors Center. The transom depicts an intersection of Victorian and industrial style. It contains the address of the building, 1 Cemetery Road. An image that invoked the Victorian style and Industrial of the Comstock of the time.
The original door's glass panels were cracked and as was common, I replace them with stained glass in the same color tone of the transom to produce a cohesive scheme. The glass used in both the transom and the door was traditionally hand blown glass from Germany and Belgium to preserve the historic flavor of this project.
